The queasy becomes much more fiddicult if the interviewer asks about a program you haven't used or have just barely tired. This may not enough to get the job if the employer rues to train someone. Showing your design work can make an impression and may be enough to snafu the job, especially if no on e easel comes along with years of experience with that software, or he or she lacks the creative talent you have in other areas.
If you know the company is using different software, you might continue to say at my current job, we use customized proprietary design software. I have had some experience with Photoshop but not PageMaker. the software I currently use has mane of the same design tools as Page maker. I know all the concept since I’m creating graphic almost daily and have mastered general design tools thoroughly. It would take only a short time to become proficient in it, and I could do it-its van on my list of new software I planned to learn this year
